Security Officer | Santa Clara Convention Center

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at the Santa Clara Convention Center. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients, guests, and employees.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol the building and grounds of the Santa Clara Convention Center, including docks and parking areas, to detect and report any irregularities or potential security threats.
- Monitor and respond to alarms and emergencies, including fires, medical emergencies, and suspicious activity.
- Interact with clients and their security personnel to ensure a smooth and secure event experience.
- Conduct regular checks of doors, windows, and other security features to ensure they are secure and functioning properly.
- Warn and apprehend individuals who are engaging in suspicious or criminal activity.
- Inspect equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working order and report any malfunctions or tampering.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, guests, and employees, and respond to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; five years of related experience and/or training preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Homeland Security and public assembly facility security protocols.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid California Driver's License required.
- First Aid, CPR, AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens certification required.
- A competitive hourly rate between $25 and $28.
- A comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan, and paid time off.
