Competitive Salary

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Description

We seek a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our eVinci microreactor safety analysis team. As a key member of this team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to perform modeling and safety analysis activities for advanced reactor designs. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical support for assigned work performed in the safety analysis of microreactor systems consistent with regulatory requirements
  • Performing modeling and analysis of advanced reactor designs using INL MOOSE-based multiphysics codes
  • Developing technical documentation and presentations related to these calculations and analyses
  • Collaborating with technical leads and project managers in coordination of activities associated with assigned work scope

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or a recognized equivalent with a minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
  • 2-5+ years of experience in thermal hydraulics and applied fluid transport
  • Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills, including technical writing
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate complex issues
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks within an innovative development program
