We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at Empower Behavioral Health LLC. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinic-based ABA services to patients and families, including assessment, treatment planning, and implementation.
- Supervise the implementation of treatment protocols to ensure satisfactory outcomes.
- Conduct initial and follow-up assessments, as well as parent questionnaires, to inform treatment planning.
- Develop and write individualized behavior acquisition programs for patients, including descriptive and functional analyses.
- Write behavior intervention plans for behavior reduction targets and develop initial treatment plans.
- Implement and supervise data collection systems to track patient progress.
- Provide behavioral support for patients in an interdisciplinary treatment setting.
- Evaluate and report patient progress toward treatment goals and oversee transition and discharge plans.
- Conduct individual parent/caregiver trainings on a monthly basis and group trainings as needed.
- Attend department meetings and interdisciplinary staff meetings to ensure collaboration and communication.
- Master's degree in Behavior Analysis or a related field.
- Board certification and in good standing as a BCBA.
- Current BCBA licensure in Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities.
- Ability to move or transport up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to run or walk throughout 6–8-hour sessions.
- Ability to respond quickly to manage behaviors.
- Ability to be seated on the floor when needed for patient.
- Ability to transition from seated on the floor to standing quickly to respond to aggression/severe behavior.
- Ability to bend or twist to utilize physical management.
- Ability to maintain physical holds for aggressive patients for extended periods of time when needed.
