Position Overview:

As a Press Operator, you will play a vital role in the production process, ensuring the efficient operation of printing machinery. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the printing press while adhering to established safety protocols and operational guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate and manage the printing press, ensuring high-quality output.
2. Follow all safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment, adhering to 5S principles.
3. Conduct quality checks by collecting and inspecting samples during production runs to make necessary adjustments.
4. Review job orders to ascertain printing specifications, including quantities, colors, and special instructions.
5. Accurately complete required documentation, such as production reports and quality checklists.
6. Supervise and guide the work of auxiliary operators, ensuring efficient workflow.
7. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues as they arise.
8. Change press components, such as plates and blankets, as needed.
9. Manage ink supplies, including mixing and filling ink fountains, and adjusting flow rates.
10. Perform routine maintenance tasks and collaborate with maintenance personnel for repairs.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- Prior experience as a Press Operator.
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate counting and basic calculations.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documents and forms.
- Physical capability to navigate ladders and maintain balance in various work conditions.
- Capacity to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work in environments with moving machinery and potential exposure to chemicals.
