Job Description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Hospitalist to join our esteemed healthcare team near Littleton, North Carolina. This exciting opportunity offers a manageable patient load, predictable call expectations, and the chance to make a significant impact on the well-being of children in our community.

What You'll Do:

  1. Manage an average inpatient census of 5 pediatric patients.
  2. Admit and care for an average of 2 patients per day.
  3. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients.
  4. Provide comprehensive care for newborns, including those in the nursery.
  5. Support families throughout their child's hospitalization.
  6. Document all patient interactions, diagnoses, treatment plans, and interventions thoroughly and efficiently within the EPIC electronic medical records system.

Who You Are:

  • A Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with board certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine (required).
  • A current and active license to practice medicine in North Carolina (only).
  • BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (required).
  • A commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care within a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
