Safety Technician Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Safety Technician to join our team at St. Joseph's Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will deliver direct patient care and perform tasks that support the well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily living activities, obtain vital signs, and complete safety checks.
- Perform delegated tasks, including phlebotomy, EKGs, and blood glucose testing.
- Monitor patients and visitors to ensure a safe environment.
- Collaborate with the care team to promote a restraint-free environment and respond to emergency situations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum 2 years of healthcare experience preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification and First Aid training required.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects and stand for long periods.
Work Environment:
Our office/clinical setting requires a commitment to patient safety and well-being. As a Safety Technician, you will be exposed to a variety of situations and must be able to respond accordingly.
Pay and Benefits:
Our competitive pay range is $19.00 - $25.90 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
