We are seeking a dedicated Operational Excellence Engineer to become a vital part of our newly established Engineering Department. This role is essential as we aim to modernize and automate our production processes, preparing to significantly increase our output.

Key Responsibilities:

Your role will focus on three primary areas, with expertise in two being preferred:

  1. Operational Excellence:
    • Identify and assess opportunities for enhancing operational processes.
    • Select and prioritize impactful projects for execution.
    • Determine optimal strategies, including labor process modifications and equipment selection.
    • Oversee projects from initiation through to successful completion.
  2. Automation Evaluation:
    • Explore potential automation initiatives.
    • Identify and implement software and technology solutions for future enhancements.
    • Collaborate closely with vendors for project execution.
    • Manage the implementation of automation projects.
  3. Capital Project Management:
    • Oversee capital projects ranging from $5,000 to $500,000.
    • Work in conjunction with subcontractors and vendors.
    • Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure project success.
    • Manage projects from concept through to operational launch.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage diverse responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
