Job Overview

We are looking to enhance our Quality Assurance Team at our facility.

Compensation:
$27.30 / hour

Schedule :
Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm Day Shift, Full-Time. Hours may adjust to support business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conducting CIP Activities, including Internal and External CIP's that require chemical handling and sanitation of equipment. This involves manual pipe connections with gaskets and clamps, as well as understanding the CIP process for multiple circuits.


2. Monitoring product quality during shifts, including line releases, water chemistry checks from the bottle washer and filler, and incident reports.


3. Verifying that production employees are performing the necessary checks on the line and positioning them for success.

4. Knowledge of Water Treatment and Processing, requiring sampling, testing, and verification activities on all water processing equipment.

5. Microbiology - understanding the program and being responsible for pulling required samples throughout the process. This includes plating samples for HPC, Coliform, Pseudomonas, and Yeast and Mold, along with conducting confirmation testing for E.coli. Regularly sending samples to third-party labs for compliance testing is also required.


6. Sensory - setting up finished product and odor panels by pulling samples from the process and line in accordance with the Sensory Program. Assisting in training and ensuring proficiency and participation results are compliant with program requirements.

7. Understanding and performing calibrations on Measuring and Monitoring Equipment such as Ozone sensors and meters for tests like pH, conductivity, turbidity, and UV intensity.

8. Conducting Customer Complaint Testing and Quality Troubleshooting using problem-solving tools such as Operational Reviews, GSTD's, and DMAIC's. This will involve creating controlled documents such as SOP's, Standard Routines, Checklists, and Visual Standards.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science/Technology, or a comparable Science field.

- Knowledge of water chemistry and experience working with chemicals.

- Familiarity with microbiological techniques, including media preparation and interpreting microbial growth.

- Ability to troubleshoot laboratory and operational equipment and collaborate with others for problem resolution.

- Capability to move/handle 50 lbs and stand for extended periods throughout the day.

- Strong teamwork and decision-making skills.

- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Understanding of microbiological testing analysis and methodology.

- Familiarity with GLP and Lab Safety standards.

- Understanding of Standard Methods and basic manufacturing processes.

- Strong troubleshooting skills.
