Job Title: Police Officer

Samford University is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our campus community.

Job Summary

The Police Officer will provide law enforcement services to the university, including responding to emergency calls, conducting investigations, and enforcing university policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide law enforcement services to the university, including responding to emergency calls and conducting investigations.
  • Enforce university policies and regulations, including parking regulations and campus rules.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for improving campus safety.
  • Collaborate with other university departments and law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe and secure campus environment.
  • Provide training and education to university employees and students on safety and security procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification as a peace officer in the state of Alabama required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
