This organization offers a comprehensive range of therapies, including physical, occupational, speech, and feeding/nutrition therapy, alongside educational services tailored for children up to three years old and their families through its Early Intervention Program, as well as for children of all ages in state-of-the-art therapy clinics.

We are in search of a qualified Speech Language Pathologist to contribute to our mission. A bonus of $2,500 will be awarded after a successful 90-day employment period.

Position Overview:
Under the guidance of a Clinical Fellow mentor, the Clinical Fellowship Speech Language Pathologist will employ a client-centered approach within both clinic settings and the Early Intervention program. This role focuses on assisting clients in developing or regaining essential speech and feeding skills through tailored programs. The Clinical Fellow will also engage in various administrative tasks to support program objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement strategies for the initiation, enhancement, and assessment of therapy programs.
  • Conduct initial assessments and follow-up evaluations for clients; analyze their conditions and determine the necessity for further evaluations, selecting appropriate assessment tools.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and participate in multidisciplinary case meetings to review ongoing treatment plans.
  • Maintain clinical and administrative documentation in line with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to ensure compliance with best practices and licensure requirements.
  • Attend bi-monthly staff meetings and participate in training sessions.
  • Manage case assignments based on the organization's needs across various programs.
  • Effectively interact with clients exhibiting diverse personalities.
  • Interpret evaluation results and draft detailed reports that highlight client strengths and challenges, guiding program development and evidence-based interventions.
  • Adhere to the professional Code of Ethics to inform ethical decision-making.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Capability to work with individuals with significant disabilities who may present developmental and behavioral challenges.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and discretion in all professional interactions.

Educational and Professional Requirements:

  • Certification from the National Board for Speech Language Pathology is mandatory.
  • A current Provisional Speech Therapy License from the State of Nevada is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with children, applying relevant treatment practices.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are essential.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations governing speech therapy practices is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) is essential.

This position may necessitate travel within the service delivery area, requiring adaptability to various outdoor weather conditions.
