Job Title: Document Controller

Sterling Engineering Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Controller to join their team. As a Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing the storage and transmission of project documents produced by AE firms, Contractors, Consultants, Project Team, Internal Support, and Functional groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the document management plan, ensuring proper classification, organization, storage, and version control with comprehensive revision tracking.
  • Manage and maintain document control systems database, ensuring all documents are properly stored and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate the flow of technical documents, including engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, and submittals.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate/GFD document conventions, including numbering and approvals, and project-specific document conventions, including numbering, approvals, distribution lists, and quality assurance requirements.
  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) review of all documents prior to filing, issuing to the client, AE firm, construction manager, or contractor.
  • Quality Control (QC) processes shall be implemented by the Specialist to document and monitor the effectiveness of the Quality Control Program.
  • Work with the Project Leadership Team to establish document distribution plans and workflow for each assigned project.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in Document Control as it relates to the job responsibilities above.
  • Proficiency in the use of SharePoint, EPCO, and Procor for document control.
  • Ability to travel onsite to Indianapolis, Indiana at least once per month.
  • Ability to commit to a 2-year project.
