Job Title: Interconnect Engineer

Ampcus Inc. is a leading provider of technology and business consulting services. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Interconnect Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Interconnect Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the company's interconnect network infrastructure. This includes developing specifications for network equipment installation, obtaining management approvals, issuing purchase orders, creating diagrams and drawings, and ensuring vendor delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed equipment engineering specifications for network augments.
  • Ensure that work meets all applicable engineering, financial, planning, and operational standards.
  • Develop Bill of Material and place orders for network equipment, rack, and hardware requirements.
  • Define cable requirements, create cable running lists, and order all cables.
  • Manage, input, and update central Network Inventory Database to reflect new builds, adds, and decommissions.
  • Provide end-to-end technical oversight and project management for transport network expansion projects.
  • Design, acquire, and implement equipment supporting Network infrastructure projects.
  • Plan, design, and implement the latest transport technologies in support of our 5G network rollout.
  • Manage vendor selection, contract negotiation, RFP, and ongoing relationships.
  • Utilize an internal database to document all fiber assets and design end-to-end circuit paths.
  • Develop and maintain circuit delivery schedules for each project.
  • Run various utilization reports to evaluate capacity and issue design changes as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience in circuit design, Tess events, contract amendments, and network infrastructure.
  • Experience in the cellular/telecommunications industry.
  • Knowledge of IP addressing, routing principles, and network design.
  • Demonstrated experience with circuit database platforms.
