About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Analog Design Lead to join our team at Apple. As a key member of our Custom Silicon Management Group, you will play a critical role in driving and leading technical engagements between Apple and silicon suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Platform Architecture and Systems teams to establish silicon requirements.
  • Deliver high-quality, on-time silicon solutions that meet system requirements.
  • Work with silicon vendors to ensure innovative design practices and methodologies are in place.
  • Develop next-generation architectures and circuit designs, and lead the development of new process technologies.
  • Ensure designs are properly verified, validated, and tested for long-term reliability.
  • Lead schedules and support multi-functional engineering efforts.
Requirements
  • Experience leading analog and mixed-signal silicon for complex system designs.
  • Solid understanding of analog design fundamentals, design tools, and methodologies.
  • Proven industry-leading design expertise.
  • Experience taking projects from concept to mass production, including chip architecture, micro-architecture, and process technology selection.
  • Strong knowledge of analog building blocks, including multi-phase buck and boost converters, LDOs, and temperature sensors.
  • Design knowledge of board level considerations, including component selection, PCB layout, and packaging technologies.
  • Knowledge of IC process technologies, reliability design rules, and ESD testing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS+10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Design management experience.
  • Work experience with high volume manufacturing.
