Job Summary:

A Dialysis Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care at one of DCI's in-center hemodialysis units as part of a patient care team. Our RNs are integral in ensuring safe care and the highest quality outcomes are prioritized for every patient.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare dialysis machines, alarms, and treatment supplies to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform hemodialysis treatments per facility policies and procedures.
  • Provide ongoing patient education, training, and health coaching.
  • Monitor patients during dialysis, assessing and communicating changes with physicians and families.
  • Administer and chart all prescribed medications.
  • Follow CDC/CMS infection control regulations.
  • Participate in patient care conferences, rounds, and chart reviews.
  • Document required patient education efforts.
  • Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals.
  • Assist in medication inventory maintenance.
  • Lead a small patient care team.
  • Contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated clinical excellence.
  • Desire to collaborate with care teams.
  • Ability to problem solve.

Education/Training:

  • Accredited nursing degree required.
  • Dialysis experience not required, job shadow opportunities available.
  • DCI provides 3-months of comprehensive training, including classroom group sessions and one-on-one skills training.
  • New graduates encouraged to apply.
