Job Title: Assistant Store Manager

Family Dollar is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining store appearance, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and well-stocked store environment, including receiving and stocking merchandise, and ensuring accurate inventory levels.
  • Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on Family Dollar operating practices and procedures.
  • Assist in unloading merchandise from delivery trucks, organizing merchandise, and transferring merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor.
  • Assist the Store Manager in ordering merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention efforts.
  • Support the Store Manager in managing the store's daily operations, including scheduling, payroll, and cash handling.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
