Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Teacher to join our team at our Lakeland, Tennessee center. As a Teacher, you will play a critical role in implementing our curriculum, creating a safe and engaging learning environment, and partnering with parents to support the development of their children.

Responsibilities
  • Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that meets the unique needs of each child
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth
  • Partner with parents to support the development of their children and keep them informed about their child's progress
  • Support the center's success by partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, and community contacts
Qualifications
  • Outstanding customer service skills and strong organizational skills
  • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Meet state-specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain
  • Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or willingness to obtain
  • Physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
  • Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
  • Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents
