Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician II to join our team at Stamford Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the operational needs of our program.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of care under the supervision of the Hospitalist, nurse practitioner, and Registered nurse.
  • Support the ongoing operational needs of the program, clinical and non-clinical.
  • Greets patients/visitors courteously and professionally.
  • Verifies all patient information following the Stamford hospital patient identification policy.
  • Prepares patients for POP visits by accompanying them to the exam room, obtaining vital signs, and height/weight.
  • Performs specimen collection as required for tests ordered.
  • Ensures all specimens obtained are properly labeled and handled in accordance with laboratory department guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with established standards of care.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified from a CNA program or in a Nursing program or equivalent.
  • Heart Saver certification within one year of hire.
