Job Title: Perioperative Float Nurse

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Perioperative Float Nurse to join our team in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Perioperative Float Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in the perioperative setting. The successful candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the preoperative, acute, and extended recovery phases of perioperative patient care.
  • Coordinate all aspects of nursing care to achieve defined patient outcomes.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding their plan of care.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, and coworkers.
Requirements:
  • BSN required.
  • BLS and ACLS required.
  • Preoperative holding and evaluation experience preferred.
  • PACU experience strongly preferred.
  • ASPAN membership preferred.
  • CPAN/CAPA certification preferred.
  • Adheres to all I.C.A.R.E. standards.
