Job Title: Perioperative Float Nurse

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Perioperative Float Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our perioperative team.

About the Role:
  • As a Perioperative Float Nurse, you will be responsible for providing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in various perioperative settings, including pre-operative, post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), and post-operative care units.
  • You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
  • Responsibilities will include assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications, and providing education to patients and families.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
  • Massachusetts Registered Nurse licensure required.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • PACU experience strongly preferred.
  • Preoperative holding and evaluation experience preferred.
  • ASPAN membership and CPAN/CAPA certification preferred.
