Tate Boys Tire & Auto Service has been a trusted name in the automotive industry since 1936, proudly operated by the same family for generations. Our expertise encompasses a wide range of services, from passenger and light truck tires to medium truck and agricultural tires. Additionally, we excel in mechanical repairs, including brakes, suspension, and engine diagnostics.
Role Summary:
The Automotive Service Consultant plays a crucial role in promoting and selling all products and services offered by Tate Boys, adhering to the company's established standards and expectations.
Compensation:
$60,000-$80,000 annually - Varies based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, both in person and over the phone, utilizing the Company's standardized customer service techniques.
- Listen attentively to customers' concerns, inspect vehicles, and refer to service history to accurately identify and confirm service needs.
- Recommend services based on appropriate knowledge and expertise.
- Clearly communicate any additional recommendations from the Automotive Technician to the customer, enabling informed decision-making.
- Document all recommendations accurately in the customer file.
- Promote the sale of relevant services, parts, and accessories by demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the products and their associated service requirements.
- Provide customers with precise quotes that detail costs and estimated completion times for approved services.
- Keep customers updated throughout the day regarding the status of their services.
- Follow established procedures when processing customer transactions, including reviewing completed multi-point inspections and explaining applicable warranties.
- Conduct follow-up calls post-repair and for declined services to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Track all new returns, core returns, and warranty parts for individual customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor is highly preferred, though not mandatory.
- Professional appearance and a proven ability to thrive in a process-driven environment.
- Must possess a valid driver's license or obtain one within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, including Saturdays.
