Fairview Health Services is seeking a Culinary Services Assistant to join our team.
The primary responsibilities include preparing food portions, assembling and disassembling patient trays safely, serving customers, and delivering and retrieving patient trays, along with various other tasks within the culinary department.
This entry-level position offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in a dynamic team environment where customer service and food service skills are highly valued.
The Culinary Services team plays a crucial role in enhancing the experience of patients, guests, and staff by providing nourishing meals that support their recovery and work.
There is a fantastic opportunity to engage directly with patients and/or staff, collaborating within a team of dedicated employees.

Hours: 40 hours biweekly, with a commitment to every other weekend

Week 1:
Monday - Galley Stock 6:30am-3:00pm
Friday - Trayline - 6:00am-2:30pm
Week 2:
Monday - Traypasser - 6:45am-3:15pm
Saturday - Pots and Pans - 6:15am-2:45pm
Sunday - Pots and Pans - 6:15am-2:45pm
Schedule subject to change based on operational needs.
Responsibilities/Job Description:
1. Prepares and portions food accurately for designated areas.
2. Ensures the correct amount of food is prepared as per established guidelines.
3. Plates and serves meals to customers.
4. Handles and stores food safely, adhering to HACCP standard operating procedures.
5. Cleans and sanitizes equipment and work areas according to assigned schedules and procedures.
6. Washes and sanitizes dishes and utensils.
7. Provides service to customers in cafeterias, dining rooms, and other non-patient areas.
8. Demonstrates the ability to adjust service approaches based on the developmental level and cultural differences of the population served.
Qualifications:
Preferred Education:
High School diploma / G.E.D
