We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Certified Nurse Aide to join our team at Essex Meadows Inc. as a 2p-10p shift CNA.
Responsibilities:- Complete and document shift assignments as assigned, if unable to complete, report to nursing supervisor.
- Communicate with residents, families, Department Heads and the Director of Nursing when needed.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
- Document ADLs in Matrix POC by the end of every shift.
- Administer treatments, perform tests, carry out procedures and collect specimens as instructed.
- Report and record observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated.
- Transfer, transport and escort residents as needed.
- Respond to signal lights promptly.
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment, including changing bed linens, making beds and keeping rooms tidy.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- One (1) year experience working as a CNA/PCA/HHA/RA preferred.
- MUST have current TX license for Certified Nurse Aide (CNA).
