Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine daily nursing care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and feeding, in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
  • Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, as instructed by nursing staff.
  • Respond promptly to resident calls and report any changes in their condition to nursing staff.
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of a calm and respectful atmosphere throughout the unit, promoting a sense of community and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New York State, current and in good standing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and service.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs).
