Assistant Director of Nursing Job Description

Sky View Rehabilitation and Health Care Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for assisting in the evaluation and implementation of all long-term and sub-acute nursing care rendered within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
  • Oversee nursing staffing to ensure quality care is provided.
  • Act as the DNS-designee in the absence of the DNS.
  • Participate in monthly nursing management meetings.
  • Maintain ultimate responsibility for planning, supervising, and evaluating goals and objectives on the unit.
Requirements:
  • Current and good standing Registered Nurse, RN License in the State of New York.
  • Bachelor's in Nursing, BSN, preferred.
  • Previous experience with geriatric/short-term rehabilitation/Alzheimer's patients is desirable.
  • Progressive experience in management within a geriatric skilled nursing setting.
  • Dedicated to providing extraordinary, quality, compassionate care to each resident.
  • Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes challenging residents.
  • Have patience and willingness to assist any residents and co-workers.
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organization skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure, flexible, and will work harmoniously with all staff.
