The Sterile Processing Tech Lead will provide quality service by appropriately processing instruments, trays, and various complex power units and scopes. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an operative setting, such as a Sterile Processing Department or Operating Room.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, assemble, wrap, sterilize, and store supplies and instrument trays.
  • Assist in coordinating the amount of supplies and equipment to patient units.
  • Check ordered instrumentation, implants, loaner instruments, and supplies upon receiving and place in designated storage areas.
  • Check for outdated supplies.
  • Document loss of instrumentation, equipment, and supplies.
  • Sort and put away linen supplies.
  • Be a resource for staff to reference and inquire of when the need arises.
  • Participate in the inventory process as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an operative setting.
  • IAHCSMM (CRCST) Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of Federal/CMS regulations and Joint Commission standards.
  • Knowledge of specialty equipment, tools, and medical supplies.
