Job Title Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Perioperative Infection Prevention and Control Program Manager to join our team at Vets Hired.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Infection Prevention and Control Management: Provide critical support in monitoring and maintaining the Infection Prevention and Control Program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Team Supervision and Training: Oversee and train perioperative infection preventionists (IPs) to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • National Healthcare Surveillance Network Administration: Act as administrator for NHSN, a national database for infection data, and develop surveillance indicators for each site based on risk assessments.
  • Compliance and Performance Improvement: Coordinate scheduled visits to perioperative sites by IPs, review compliance data, identify practice gaps, and facilitate performance improvement initiatives with leaders and key stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Certification and Qualifications: Certification in Infection Control is required, along with strong decision-making skills, ability to cultivate innovation, and leadership capabilities.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build effective teams and partnerships with various stakeholders.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and flexibility to meet changing demands, along with the ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000, depending on location and experience.
