Shelbys Rooftop Bar, located in the heart of San Francisco, is a premier rooftop bar and restaurant offering an unparalleled dining and drinking experience. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our team and drive our success.

Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our rooftop bar and restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing high-volume bars and restaurants, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the overall operations of the rooftop bar and restaurant, including forecasting, planning, and budgeting.
  • Lead a team of bartenders, servers, and hosts/hostesses to ensure exceptional customer service and a seamless dining experience.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth, including menu engineering, pricing, and promotions.
  • Monitor and control costs, including inventory management, labor costs, and overhead expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including health and safety standards, liquor laws, and employment regulations.
  • Collaborate with the entertainment team to plan and execute events and promotions that drive customer engagement and revenue.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners to ensure the highest quality products and services.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data, customer feedback, and employee performance to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
Requirements
  • 5-6 years of experience in bar and restaurant management, with a focus on high-volume establishments.
  • Proven track record of success in managing teams, driving revenue growth, and controlling costs.
  • Strong understanding of business management and accounting principles, including financial analysis and budgeting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality, business, or a related field preferred.
