About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise IT Specialist to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. As a Systems Support Professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our enterprise systems and providing top-notch support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tier 1 application helpdesk support to customers, resolving technical issues and providing guidance on system usage.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams and business subject matter experts to resolve user issues and requests.
  • Manage time effectively to adjust to a fluctuating volume of help requests and provide accurate information on supported products or services.
  • Record events, problems, status information, and resolutions in the help desk system.
  • Assist with manual testing requirements of new applications releases and document results in Jira.
  • Follow up with customers and update status information.
  • Share feedback and suggestions from customers with the appropriate team members.
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining system support documentation, such as FAQs and user guides.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, or training, or work experience.
  • 5+ years of help desk experience.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with customer support systems, such as Remedy or ServiceNow.
  • Experience with the customer's ESMT or ESP systems.
  • Experience with an Agile development methodology.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of financial systems.
  • Experience in manually testing web applications.
