Job Summary:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) teacher to join our team. As an ELA teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that promote literacy and critical thinking skills in our students.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state and national standards
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in ELA instruction
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that promote literacy and academic achievement
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Teaching certification or eligibility for certification in the state of New Jersey
- Experience working with diverse student populations and developing culturally responsive instruction
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
