Neonatal Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team at the University of South Florida. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in our Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care to critically ill infants, including evaluation, management, and stabilization.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and coordinate care with ancillary staff and family members.
- Attend high-risk deliveries and provide immediate stabilization of critically ill neonates under the supervision of the attending Neonatologist.
- Document all orders, procedures, and progress notes on the patient's medical record.
- Perform procedures necessary for the care of neonates and infants in the intensive care unit, including endotracheal intubation, umbilical line placement, PICC line placement, lumbar punctures, and peripheral arterial lines.
- Master's Degree in Nursing: ARNP training; Florida License.
- 2-5 years of experience evaluating pediatric patients, with at least 2 years of experience assessing neonates.
- Minimum 1 year nursing experience in a physician's office or clinic experience in an ambulatory health care facility preferred.
- BLS/AED certification is required and must be maintained.
- ACLS or PALS certification preferred.
