Role Summary

The Sanitation Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring a pristine, safe, and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors within our rehabilitation center. Responsibilities include the meticulous cleaning of patient rooms, communal areas, therapy spaces, administrative offices, kitchen facilities, and flooring. The Specialist must follow stringent cleaning protocols and procedures to uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene while respecting patient privacy and adhering to confidentiality regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Rooms: Adhere to established cleaning protocols to sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and shared spaces. Tasks include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, emptying waste bins, changing linens, and replenishing supplies.
  • Common Areas: Ensure cleanliness in hallways, waiting areas, restrooms, and other public spaces through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and surface cleaning.
  • Therapy Areas: Clean and disinfect exercise equipment, mats, and surfaces in patient gyms to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Administrative Spaces: Maintain cleanliness in staff offices, meeting rooms, and break areas, including dusting, vacuuming, and waste disposal.
  • Kitchen Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, appliances, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the facility, and perform stripping, waxing, and buffing as necessary.
  • Waste Management: Properly dispose of trash, biohazardous materials, and recyclables.
  • Supply Oversight: Ensure adequate availability of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Equipment Reporting: Notify supervisors of any malfunctioning cleaning equipment.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.
  • Confidentiality Maintenance: Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:
