Hiring Range: Anticipated hiring range: $49,711 - $73,000, based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.

Full Time or Part Time: Full Time

Job Summary:

Reynolds Community College is seeking a skilled Welding Instructor/Program Head to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching welding courses, developing curriculum, and leading our welding program. If you have a passion for education and a strong background in welding, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Teach welding courses to students at various skill levels
• Develop and implement curriculum for welding programs
• Lead and manage the welding program, including faculty and staff
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with college goals
• Participate in professional development to stay current in welding industry trends
Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of current experience in the field
• Valid VA driver's license required
• Ability to operate a state vehicle and forklift
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or equivalent in the teaching field and welding teaching experience
• AWS and/or NCCER Certifications
• Prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level
• Interest and/or experience in engaging students in campus life outside the classroom
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse student populations
