Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and motivate a team of laborers and skilled laborers to complete heavy civil water and wastewater construction projects.
  • Schedule work, coordinate material handling, and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
  • Train and coach employees on safe use of tools and equipment, best practices for hand digging, excavation, and identification of water utility piping.
  • Lead performance of various trades, including carpentry, concrete work, pipe work, and grading and landscaping.
  • Maintain a clean job site, secure equipment, and promote a safe work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety rules and procedures, including use of PPE.
  • Lead by example, meet attendance schedule, and demonstrate dependability and consistency.
Requirements
  • Experience leading a team of laborers on heavy construction projects, preferably in water/wastewater utility construction.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with clean MVR.
Work Environment

Regularly works at construction sites near moving mechanical parts, in outside conditions with inclement weather, heat, and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. Frequent exposure to sewage, wastewater, and related bad smells.
