We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Lincoln Diagnostics, LLC. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our laboratory operations and ensuring the highest quality of patient testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sort and accession samples according to established procedures
  • Perform laboratory tasks such as centrifuging specimens, printing labels, and recording data
  • Prepare reagents and media in the department
  • Prepare specimens for testing, including building worklists and aliquoting specimens
  • Resolve pending lists and find missing samples
  • Decontaminate work areas and maintain files for department records
  • Follow all PPE requirements and safety regulations
  • Use the laboratory computer system and dispose of biohazardous material
  • Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately
  • Unpack and store reagents and supplies
  • Complete training and competency checklists as required
  • Assist with department quality and process improvement projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Clinical laboratory experience, preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills
  • Ability to push/pull up to 35lbs and lift objects of up to 25lbs
  • Ability to differentiate colors
  • Category I risk exposure as defined by OSHA
Working Conditions

The Laboratory Assistant will work in a fast-paced laboratory environment and will be required to stand for extended periods, occasionally sit, and walk. The position requires the ability to work in a team environment and maintain a clean and safe work area.
