Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our AI Core team, responsible for designing and implementing significant parts of our production AI algorithms and code base.

As a member of our team, you will work closely with researchers and domain experts to design and implement novel solutions for industrial control systems, using machine learning, search, and reinforcement learning algorithms.

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing AI agents that provide autonomous control of industrial systems
  • Working as a hands-on engineer on ML models, search algorithms, and adjacent software components to get them production-ready, performant, and easy to use
  • Contributing to the design and implementation of Domain Specific Languages (DSLs) and specifications for configuring customer systems on our product
  • Collaborating with the AI Services team to ensure seamless integration with production services
  • Participating in cross-functional initiatives with engineers, product managers, and TPMs across teams

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years of work experience in software engineering, with a focus on machine learning and AI
  • Expertise in efficient algorithms and data structures, such as search problems
  • Experience with production software engineering, including fault tolerance, performance tuning, monitoring, and statistics/metrics collection
  • Strong knowledge of Python and experience with other programming languages, such as Go
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in an all-remote setting
