Responsibilities:
  • Patient Preparation: Assist patients with preparation for treatments and check-ups, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Instrument Setup and Sterilization: Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed for procedures, and sterilize them according to regulations.
  • Assisting Dentists: Assist dentists through 4-handed dentistry, undertaking lab tasks as instructed, and providing oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
  • Office Administration: Maintain accurate patient records, schedule appointments, and assist with payment procedures.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain dental equipment inventory and order dental supplies as needed.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience as a dental assistant, with a strong understanding of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
  • Education: High school diploma, with a preference for graduates of a dental assistant school.
  • Certifications: Additional certification or training is an asset, such as EFDA.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and people skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
