Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse - Surgery Department will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in the Operating Room. This includes collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care, as well as maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest medical procedures and technologies
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting open communication and collaboration among colleagues
- Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state
- BCLS certification
- ACLS certification within 6 months of transfer or hire to department
- PALS certification within 6 months of transfer or hire to department
- Minimum College Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing
- BSN preferred; OR experience preferred. CNOR certification preferred
