About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavior Specialist to join our dynamic School Services Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing educational and behavioral support to children and adults with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals and objectives.
  • Provide behavior assistance and interventions to assigned clients, utilizing evidence-based strategies and techniques.
  • Develop and implement behavior intervention plans, working closely with clients and their support teams.
  • Document session data accurately and efficiently, adhering to confidentiality requirements.
  • Assist students in developing independent skills through self-care activities, such as toileting, clothing routines, and personal hygiene.
  • Implement behavior management techniques in accordance with the directions given by the supervising teacher, including reinforcing appropriate behaviors.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience working in the school environment, preferably with children and adults with special needs.
  • Current CPR certification, preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively elicit and provide information to and from appropriate individuals.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to work with diverse populations.
