Key Responsibilities- Provide advanced knowledge in spacecraft electrical subsystems, including electrical power converters, batteries, on-board computers, and optical payload electronics.
- Lead electrical engineering design for spacecraft electronics from conceptualization to acceptance testing.
- Develop electrical systems requirements for models of advanced spacecraft systems.
- Perform modeling and simulations of spacecraft electrical components or subsystems.
- Support mission planning functions, including design and analysis of spacecraft electrical requirements.
- Interface directly with management and external sponsors to communicate technical milestones.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Significant practical experience in spacecraft electrical subsystems.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple parallel tasks and prioritize tasks toward predetermined long-range targets.
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Expert-level knowledge of aerospace and/or electrical engineering concepts.
- Experience with FPGA design and/or MIL-STD-1553 communications standards.
- Familiarity with orbital mechanics, orbit determination, and satellite maneuvering.
