Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for various building projects, including power distribution, lighting, and grounding systems. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all electrical systems meet the highest standards for safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and develop electrical systems for building projects, including power distribution, lighting, and grounding systems
* Collaborate with our team to ensure that all electrical systems meet the highest standards for safety and efficiency
* Develop detailed technical drawings, specifications, and calculations for electrical systems
* Review designs prepared by subcontracted engineers for code compliance and constructability

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Professional registration as an Electrical Engineer
* Comprehensive knowledge and experience in design work with electrical power distribution system components
* Experience preparing electrical one-line diagrams, load studies, branch and short-circuit analysis, arc flash calculations, and electrical building layouts

Preferred Qualifications

* Familiarity with the National Electric Code (NEC) and California Electrical Code
* Experience using AutoCAD and Revit to prepare design drawings
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
