We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Dental Assistant I (LDA I) to join our team. As a key member of our Oral Health Department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist dentists and clinic staff in direct patient care and perform various clinical and clerical functions.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Collect and record patient health histories, ensuring accurate and complete dental records.
- Manage patient care during dental procedures, applying isolation techniques and preparing dental materials as needed.
- Conduct inventory control and management, ensuring adequate supplies and equipment are available.
- Take dental x-rays, apply topical fluoride treatments, and assist with various clinical and administrative functions.
- Ensure proper disposal of contaminated materials and comply with center policies and regulations.
- Current CPR (BLS) certification, DANB certification, and x-ray licensure.
- Licensed or license in progress in DC and/or Maryland.
- Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds and work in a moderate to loud noise environment.
