Social Services Coordinator

**Job Responsibilities**
- Under general supervision, provide therapeutic intervention and social work services to patients and their families to enhance comprehensive, integrated, and uninterrupted care in the hospital and ensure continuity of care in the community.
- Demonstrate positive interpersonal relations with patients, families, visitors, and co-workers in accordance with UMMC and departmental policies and procedures.
- Mobilize resources to reduce risk and serve as an ambassador between the hospital and community.
**Requirements**
- Master's degree in Social Work is required. Maryland state LCSW-C licensure and credentials are commensurate with clinical assignment.
- Two years of social work experience in an acute hospital setting is preferred, including internships and paid work experience.
- Pediatric experience is required.
