As a Medical Assistant at Artesia General Hospital, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse or practitioner. Your primary responsibilities will include obtaining and documenting patient vitals, performing bedside testing, and assisting with basic nursing procedures such as oral care and perineal care. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized environment, including the office and examination rooms, as well as cleaning and storing equipment. Additionally, you will perform basic clerical duties as needed and maintain supply inventory. If assigned, you will also be responsible for additional tasks.
Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Specialized training in basic patient care
- Experience in a clinic setting preferred
- Formal nursing assistant and/or medical assistant training required
- Certification in Nurse Assisting or Certification in Medical Assisting preferred
Work Environment:
As a Medical Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced environment with daily patient contact, which may include exposure to blood or other body fluids.
