Senior Fleet Mechanic Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Fleet Mechanic to be part of our team at US Foods. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience working with diesel equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and handling road service calls. Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair diesel equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime and extend lifespan
  • Document repair orders, maintenance records, and parts inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Respond to road service calls and perform rescue/transport services as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Monitor and manage assigned repairs and inventory levels to optimize resource allocation
  • Assume additional responsibilities and certifications as needed to advance in the role

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class-A CDL license; DOT certification preferred
  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience as a heavy duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and EPA/OSHA regulations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
