TYPE OF POSITION: Part Time / Swing Shift
DURATION: Contingent on funding
SALARY: Based on experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Assistant Residential Service Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including:
- Overseeing clients within a residential treatment environment.
- Ensuring a safe and hygienic facility.
- Conducting safety drills and adhering to all safety protocols.
- Enforcing organizational policies and client regulations.
- Monitoring the premises during nighttime hours and documenting any unusual occurrences.
- Submitting maintenance and transportation requests to the Data Analyst.
- Assisting in task assignments during motivational activities and performing weekly checks on emergency equipment and first aid supplies.
- Ensuring clients follow established schedules.
REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate must meet the following criteria:
- At least one year of sobriety; drug testing may be required.
- A valid California driver's license and reliable transportation with adequate insurance.
- Strong listening and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clearly.
- Flexibility to assist with various practical needs.
SUGGESTED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred candidates will have:
- A minimum of one year of experience in security or a related field.
- Experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Familiarity with the AI/AN community.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
Applicants should be knowledgeable about Native American cultures and possess the ability to work with individuals recovering from substance use disorders, as well as an understanding of client-related issues.
ABILITY TO:
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to:
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Engage in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Occasionally transport clients to appointments and activities as needed.
- Provide clear verbal instructions and maintain composure under pressure.
- Exercise tact in interactions with others and be willing to cross-train when necessary.
