Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at CHAS Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform phlebotomy and laboratory procedures as directed, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in specimen collection and processing.
  • Collect and process specimens according to established protocols, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality control.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and providing reassurance to ensure a positive experience.
  • Update patient records and maintain accurate documentation, adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and support, promoting a culture of teamwork and respect.
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved medical assistant-phlebotomist training program and current Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification issued by Washington State Department of Health.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients preferred.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in medical terminology, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
