About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic III to join our team in Avenel, NJ. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to a variety of vehicles, including automobiles, trucks, trailers, vans, and forklifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with engines, transmissions, clutches, and electrical systems.
  • Complete all necessary documentation, including vehicle records and maintenance reports.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of parts and supplies.
  • Act as a mentor to junior mechanics and provide guidance and support as needed.

Shift and Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 4:00 AM - 12:30 PM
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed

About You:

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds repeatedly
  • 3 years of fleet experience with the ability to work on all types of power units, trailers, and material handling equipment
  • 3 years of previous experience working on hydraulics, electrical, suspension, and brakes
  • 2 years of experience using a computer to run diagnostics on fleet vehicles
  • Able to supply own set of tools
  • Will be required to achieve ASE Heavy and Medium duty certification, DOT Commercial Driver's License (CDL A), DOT brake and annual inspection certification, A/C Certification, and Forklift Operator License within the first year of employment
