Fleet Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic III to join our team in Avenel, NJ. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to a variety of vehicles, including automobiles, trucks, trailers, vans, and forklifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
- Diagnose and repair complex issues with engines, transmissions, clutches, and electrical systems.
- Complete all necessary documentation, including vehicle records and maintenance reports.
- Manage inventory and ordering of parts and supplies.
- Act as a mentor to junior mechanics and provide guidance and support as needed.
Shift and Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 4:00 AM - 12:30 PM
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
About You:
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a strong technical aptitude. You should be a problem solver with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations. If you are a team player with a passion for automotive repair, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds repeatedly
- 3 years of fleet experience with the ability to work on all types of power units, trailers, and material handling equipment
- 3 years of previous experience working on hydraulics, electrical, suspension, and brakes
- 2 years of experience using a computer to run diagnostics on fleet vehicles
- Able to supply own set of tools
- Will be required to achieve ASE Heavy and Medium duty certification, DOT Commercial Driver's License (CDL A), DOT brake and annual inspection certification, A/C Certification, and Forklift Operator License within the first year of employment
