Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team at Slip Robotics.

About the Role

In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing the firmware that powers our advanced robotic systems.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and efficient solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firmware development and embedded systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Firmware Development: Design, implement, and maintain firmware for embedded systems in our robotic platforms.
  • System Integration: Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate firmware with mechanical and electronic components.
  • Optimization: Enhance firmware performance, reliability, and scalability through continuous testing and iteration.
  • Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions and code reviews.
  • Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to firmware and embedded systems.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in firmware or embedded systems development.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in C/C++ programming languages and familiarity with microcontrollers, processors, and hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, etc.).
