Join Our Team as an Animal Care Technician

Experience Requirement:
Minimum of one year of experience in animal handling is essential.

Clinic Operating Hours:
Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 7:00 pm
Saturday: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Sunday: Emergency services only from 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Shift Expectations:
Availability to work 2-3 weekends each month is mandatory.
Our Animal Care Technicians are paired with a veterinarian or technician team daily.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the facility, including laundry and mopping.
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations and procedures.
- Support in performing radiographs, ultrasounds, and various medical procedures.
- Care for boarding animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Proactively identify tasks and projects to contribute to the hospital's operations.

We are seeking dedicated individuals to become part of our team at Central Animal Hospital, an AAHA accredited facility with a busy team of eight doctors. Our Animal Care Technicians play a vital role in our operations. Through our scholarship program, we offer opportunities for further education in veterinary technology.

Our Animal Care Technicians assist veterinarians and technicians in various tasks, including preparing animals for examinations and surgeries. They ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both animals and their owners, demonstrating excellent communication skills and maintaining professionalism at all times.

Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds, with assistance for heavier loads. Candidates should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with various animal sounds and potential exposure to medical hazards. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for successful interactions with clients and team members.
