Nursing Leadership Opportunity

Administer the nursing program in a long term care facility to maintain standards of resident care. Optimize the geriatric care process to improve quality and efficiency of service. Ensure overall quality of care provided by nursing personnel. Advise medical staff, department heads, and administrators on nursing service and strategies. Interpret policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups. Monitor nursing staff operations and ensure compliance with regulations and standards. Schedule staff and conduct employee performance reviews. Provide nursing care to residents as needed. Assist in marketing activities and programs. Maintain day-to-day operations of long term care facility, including quality of resident care, program management, environmental safety, and budget constraints. Perform delegation and coordination for clinical, operational, and managerial activities. Effectively manage and direct work of individuals or teams. Maintain communication and address changing healthcare environment. Lead development and execution of clinical programs, policies, procedures, and protocols. Monitor nursing staff operations and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in nursing required. Graduate from nationally accredited nursing program preferred. Five years nursing experience required. Housing with services, HUD, and/or assisted living experience helpful. Thorough knowledge of nursing practice act and standards of nursing care. Working knowledge of administrative and management techniques. Currently holds unencumbered RN license with State Board of Nursing where practice of nursing is occurring, or possesses multistate licensure if in Nurse Licensure Compact state. Obtains and maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
